Angler’s Edge

Welcome to Angler’s Edge Open Bass Tournament Trail:

As you all know the economy has affected the number and way that we fish tournaments here at Angler’s

Edge and throughout the industry. Anglers Edge realized this and during the 2009 season we talked and listened to anglers on how to lessen the effects from the economy on you the anglers.

We held our annual winter meeting with our members, with their input and votes we came up with some

changes that we believe will lessen the impact that you are feeling. We are still members of the Wisconsin

Bass Federation and I stress to anglers that may be interested in fishing with Angler’s Edge that you do

not need to belong to the Federation to fish our open tournament circuits, this is an available option  to

anglers who wish to do so.

At this time we are still waiting from Ranger as to the status of Ranger Cup and will forward this on

Our web site as soon as we have information on it.

Changes that were voted in.

(1)   Tournaments will be open formats

(2)   No annual membership, the membership fee will be replaced by a $5.00 per man/tournament fee $30.00 max for the year. In other words a pay as you go. This will be for all circuits under Anglers Edge. This will help pay for the new tournament fees imposed from 2 states that we deal with.

(3)   There will still be a Classic Tournament, it will however be optional. There is an optional fee of $25.00 per tournament fished to fish the classic. This is 100% vested to the Classic fund. We had this last year and was well accepted by the members from all circuits.

(4)   There will be three Wild card spots open for the Classic, one from each circuit that meets qualifying

Standard of fishing 4 tournaments and paying the four $25.00 fees but did not finish in the top 50%.

(5)   Anglers interested in fishing the Wisc Federation . If you weren’t a member in 2009 the State Fees are waived for your first year. National dues (15.00) and FLW dues (35.00) are still in effect.

Thank You for your continued support and a great tournament year.

Sincerely:

Dan Degner Tournament Director
